Overview

Soho Farmhouse approached us with a construction brief for a truly bespoke extension to their wellness centre. This involved an extension to an existing barn, three infrared sauna pods (manufactured by a specialist), four new hot tubs and new decking areas.

Delivery

With this client, discretion and professionalism was key. Working on site on a live luxury spa retreat required specific working practices that were agreed in advance with the client.

The project centred around a small lake, Lazy lake, with the hot tubs sunken into the water.

The team worked on the barn extension built timber wall frames, fitted reclaimed cladding, and insulated them before constructing the lower section roof structure.

Waterproof concrete was covered in timber for the walkways and stairs to the new hot tubs and sauna areas. The saunas were constructed offsite by a specialist and were delivered ready for the ply roof section to befitted by our team.

The hot tubs were formed from waterproof concrete and the manufacture of each unit involved the construction of the roof structures, shuttering and steel works. The original boat house required alterations, concreting and alarge decking area was created next to the lake.
